Things to Do at the Resort

Head to one of the two game rooms for ping pong or billiards. It is an easy way to turn a slower night into a fun one, especially after dinner or a day outside. Hours are 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Game rooms are located on the third floor of the Aurora and Canyon buildings. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Check the Activity Schedule during your stay for family-friendly things to do on property. Activities may include arts and crafts, bingo, birdwatching, campfire s’mores, cooking and mixology classes, outdoor movies, picture day, and scavenger hunts. Some activities may have a cost, and schedules can change.

Grill lunch or dinner on one of the on-site grills. Pick up grilling utensils at the Front Desk, and grab charcoal at Marketplace when needed. There are eight grills on property, with two charcoal grills each behind the Dillon, Bodie, and Aurora buildings, plus two gas grills behind the Canyon building. Hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Grills are available seasonally.

Cool off after a warm-weather adventure in the outdoor pool. It is a refreshing break after mountain hikes, bike rides, or a day spent exploring Genoa and Lake Tahoe. The outdoor pool is open seasonally from Memorial Day through Labor Day, weather permitting. Hours are 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily during the season.

David Walley’s hot springs are the heart of the resort. Soak your hiking legs, relax after a Lake Tahoe day, or make the Genoa hot springs experience the main event. The resort has five geothermically heated mineral hot spring tubs, plus a heated outdoor pool with mountain views. The hot spring tubs range from 98 to 104 degrees, and one tub is designated for families with kids under 18. Hours are 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
