Lovely surroundings

Comfortable bed clean room lovely thermal.spa. Good food at the restaurant

Nice hot springs, but trouble with the room being part of a painting project.

Although the resort was large, the room we were in was part of a painting project - which meant that one window was covered with a tarp when we woke up and a worker climbed onto our second floor balcony from a cherry picker at 8:45 a.m. while my mother was still in her nightgown to close off our entire balcony with another tarp. The desk clerks apologized but could do nothing, there was no manager on duty when we checked out, and management did not respond to an email about this.

Needs help

Do not recommend this location at this time. They need to do some major cleaning and updating at this time. Looks old right now, run down and dirty. Their staff needs the have better communication with the reservation center.

Staffing

The front desk staff is always very courteous and helpful. They answer all her questions. Everyone always has a smile on their face and makes our stay very pleasant. The food is also very good. We recommend David And walley’s’s to many people.

Great hot springs

Great amenities but not all rooms are updated. The online photos and in person experience is very different

Fairly clear, bugs and elevator the worst

Quaint town, accommodation fairly clean, not cheap by any means, didn’t like being attacked by bugs on porch so couldn’t sit out and enjoy, and elevator sticking on floor 3 in canyon building was a bummer!

Great location and people

David Walley’s resort is nestled at the foothills of Sierra and worth visiting just for itself. We stayed there for our Lake Tahoe trip, driving across Sierra to reach Tahoe became pleasure in itself - drive is good! Overall clean place with excellent hospitality by the staff. Did not access the hot springs as it was already summer but can imagine it would be a fun experience. Overall well placed, has sofa bed in drawing room optimally used space in one king bed room villa.

Enjoyed the Hot Springs

We traveled with our family. We all enjoyed the hot springs. After the first night we went to the store and bought mosquito spray. Room needs to be updated… particularly the bathroom and kitchen. We enjoyed Virginia City and Tahoe. The cost was high for the accommodations.

Needs significant improvement on many fronts

Poorly maintained and lacking in adequate food and beverage service. Friendly and helpful staff at least. Marketplace store has little to purchase and prices are a ripoff. Timeshare solicitation call unexpected and an annoyance. I would not stay there again.

Don't stay here

Too busy trying to sell you a timeshare to keep this property in good condition. Very dated and rundown. I am used to excellent experiences when staying at IHG properties, this was an incredible disappointment.
