Great place.

Great spot to stay for families. Unfortunately some guests in other apartments were smoking marijuana,the smell was overwhelming. This should have been a smoke free campus since many of guests are children.

Lots of problems never resolved

Arrived and door key card would not open the door. Called for maintenance took over 35 mins at 11pm at night when tired from traveling and had not eaten yet. Tech said he would fix but never did just opened up the interior door and unlocked it. Stove did not work only one burner sometimes two was hit and miss. WIFI was horrible could not even do my work or check emails it would not stay connected. TV and DVD player outdated not even hooked to WIFI and we had the top suite. No extra blankets and sheets for pull out couch in the room or for any of the beds. Noise levels in the room are crazy high not only from your own room but above you. Lots of parties allowed and you can almost make out every conversation from the room above you and your own connected room very disappointed in the noise levels. No restaurant on site and were given a list of restaurants 10 miles plus away. Also grocery stores are 10+ miles unless you want to pay almost triple on most things in their store. Everything is a long drive and a real pain. This size of resort should have restaurant on site and if you look online it presents as though there is one. Every Holiday Inn I have stayed at had a restaurant on site. Totally disappointed in our stay for a birthday/anniversary getaway and be able to do some work while there spent a lot of time driving to eat and or get groceries.

Beds and bathroom cleanliness the worst

Everything was great minus the rock hard beds and the jacuzzi tub. Jets had probably never been clean and filtered brown filth all throughout the water and tub. Beds were terrible. Worst sleep my wife and I had. Even the kids didn't sleep well.

Fun For The Entire Family!

This place was amazing. The staff was great. The rooms were clean, comfortable, spacious, and provided everything we needed. We enjoyed the water park, mini golf course, indoor/outdoor pools, game room, daily activities, and a host of other amenities. There was so much to do and we did not have enough time. Our next stay will be longer!!!

Outdated, Not Clean, No Onsite Food Services

We were very disappointed with the resort in Sheridan, Illinois. The rooms and buildings are dated and not clean. Con webs in corners of room, grime on walls, carpeting dirty to name a few. They also use a lot of Lysol and sprays full of chemicals to cover up smells in hallways. There was no restaurant, snack shop or coffee shop onsite. All amenities except for pool was geared for kids or not taken care of. Lake was full of seaweed and algae. We were disappointed with the overall atmosphere of the welcoming guest center and feel of the entire resort. We won’t recommend or visit again and felt overcharged for what the resort had to offer.

Wish there was food service and Bar at location

A restaurant and a bar will be a great addition to this place. Having to go out of the resort to get a bite or some alcohol not a great feeling. Kids had a blast though.

Comfortable villa, extremely roomy for a family of 6!

Had a great stay except for the unruly children in the villa above us. They were allowed to run back and forth and jump up and down until the wee hrs of the morning. Wish we were allowed to pick our Villa.

Great environment.

Had a great stay would have enjoyed a restaurant and lounge. The place is a long distance from a town.

Annual free night

Trying to use annual free night at resort properties is difficult. This property allowed my reservation, but mybwife's was declined because of no available occupancy. When we arrived, there were only a hand full of cars parked.next to the villas for the night. Our room was clean, but several items needed maintenance (whirpool tub cracked bottom, loose kitchen cabinet doors, bent window blinds, coffee maker leaking/broken).
