Lovely location

Great on the beach location right next to a fun causal restaurant. Very nice beach area. Nice staff. Very clean resort. Definitely shows its age. Room was clean, linens in good shape. The bed was too well used and needs replacing. The room needs refurbished- new paint, floors, cabinets, doors, bathroom.

Quick Getaway

This stay was a quick getaway for a friend and myself. The cost of the room is very decent compared to other hotels on the island, and one of the few hotels with direct beach access. The pool is a good size, with lots of chairs and loungers. You can buy snacks, drinks from the market in the lobby, but there is not a restaurant on site. There is a bar & grill next door, but it received mixed reviews from others we talked to. The room/suite is super spacious, and so is the bathroom.

"False Advertising: Pool Unavailable, Manager Refu

We stayed at this property primarily because the pool was advertised as a key amenity included in our rate. Unfortunately, our experience fell well short of expectations due to two significant service failures. Issue 1 – Pool Closure Without Notice or Professional Handling At approximately 2:00 PM, my daughter and I were abruptly asked to leave the pool area by the manager for "maintenance reasons." No advance notice had been posted, no signage restricted access, and no estimated reopening time was provided. When I went to the front desk to seek clarification and resolution, the manager repeatedly refused to answer when the pool would reopen. Her dismissive attitude made it clear the pool was not going to be made available during our stay. For a family-oriented property where the pool is a primary draw, this was unacceptable. Guests who specifically selected and paid for this amenity deserve transparency and reasonable accommodation, not evasion. Issue 2 – Housekeeping Oversight After nearly 30 hours on property, trash bags in the barbecue area remained uncollected. I had to personally visit reception to report it. While this is a minor issue in isolation, it reflects a broader inattention to basic upkeep. Bottom Line: The pool closure was handled unprofessionally and without regard for guest experience. When a core amenity is removed without notice or explanation, the property fails to deliver the value guests paid for. I would not return, and I cannot recommend this hotel to families prioritizing pool access.

Great stay

Loved staying here. Its our second time but we’d love to come back for a longer stay. Its so convenient that its on the beach and you dont have to cross the seawall to get to it. I love that it also has a pool. Only thing id love in addition is if it has a restaurant in house so we dont have to leave.

Semi private was great did not have to cross the street like all the other hotels on the boardwalk plus great customer service like always

Galveston Beach Front Getaway

This hotel was a great combination of beach front and not right in the middle of the crowded areas. The full kitchen was a nice bonus. The washer/dryer was another added plus! The pool is fantastic. The boardwalk leads right out onto the beach and has a place to rinse the sand before entering the pool/hotel area. The room was very clean and well stocked. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would choose this hotel if ever in Galveston area again!

Wonderful Location & Amenities

My family of four booked one of the one bedroom suites with the full kitchen. We really enjoyed our stay and all was well stocked with everything we needed for our stay from soap, shampoo, body wash, hair dryer, washer dryer, full kitchen with microwave, range, and refrigerator with an ice maker! Very clean and loved the balcony with ocean views. The location was great with direct access to the beach, infinity edge pool-hot tub, game room area, and could walk to the Tipsy Turtle for lunch or dinner. Close to restaurants, but far enough away from hustle and bustle. Beach was very clean! Would definitely return and highly recommend for a family vacation or if in town for the Brawl @ The Seawall baseball tournament.

Excellent Ocean Front Stay

Excellent property, ocean view and beach. Needs more on-site dining options. Quiet and comfortable rooms with great ocean views. Beautiful and well maintained pool. Friendly staff but not always responsive to needs. Difficult to understand how things operate -- eg housekeeping, trash removal

It’s ok to get away

Nothing special just a little get away.asked for check out late when we checked in as a platinum membership at igh.they said yes.then later on that night I asked what time is the latest I can check out,they said no late check out.so information not accurate.

Good place to stay

Grwat location to beach acess. Great views, great pool and hot tub. Staff wonderful. Great value. Rooms were nice, just a little dusty. Need better beds not to comfy. Need shower heads that can be hand held to better spray off with. Hall carpets showing it's age and wear.
