Roll in Shower bookings NOT a guarantee!

I book with IHG every where I travel. I’m a Quadriplegic. When I book a roll-in shower. I always get it. Accept at this Holiday Inn Club vacation resort at Orange lake. I was informed that Roll-in shower rooms are only available if unoccupied when checking in. No matter how far in advance you book a roll-in shower suite. Unacceptable. After a few hours on the phone after checking in. They had moved us to a suite with a roll-in shower. But, not until the next day. Having to pack up check out at 10am. Then getting the room around 4pm. Any Quadriplegic knows packing up a lift and track system takes time. It was extremely inconvenient we lost a whole day of our 10 day vacation to Florida. Still very thankful we ended up in a roll-in shower suite afterwards.

Double charged and no one cared

The resort was nothing short of amazing. However check in needs to be better we waited about 45 minutes, not to mention there was no soap in neither of our bathrooms I told the guy at guest services he said “wow you folks are showering a lot” which is very disturbing because we literally checked in Friday and the body wash was empty upon arrival. I woke up to double charges Saturday morning and was told it was a property error no kind of empathy was given

Great stay ! Lacked Customer Service.

When we checked in I requested a bungalow, but was told that they were fully booked. Since I couldn’t get a bungalow I then requested to be a least on the first floor view. I was traveling with a 16 month old. I was denied that as well. It made it very inconvenient to go up and down the stairs with luggage and all of the things that the baby needed. Very hard to believe that on the whole property there was not a 1st floor unit available.

Wonderful resort with many options for fun activities

You can't ask for a better location. So much shopping and plenty of dining options so close by. Weather permitting you have to spend the day at the lazy river!

Finally able to relax!

Orange lake is our go to for our family! We love everything about it especially how great we sleep and get to relax on the lazy river.

Advertised amenities not available

The room is nice and clean. Pool towels were missing when we got there, had to wait awhile before we could use the pool. They charge $22 for a reusable soda cup you can fill for a week, but half the soda machines don’t work and the ones that did only had coke, ginger ale, and water. They were out of power ade, sprite, root beer, vitamin water, basically anything a kid would drink. Got $6 root beer floats from breezes and they were basically water over vanilla ice cream. The hot tub jets didn’t work the entire time we were there. Bought the fun zone passes for our kids, but the water slide and bungee jumper weren’t open, still paid full price for those passes though. The food has gone downhill, we were here three years ago and didn’t mind the restaurants. This time I think we had one meal that was decent. Everything is cold and tastes like it came from a microwave. The bars are constantly out of something, fruit for advertised drinks, mint, sprite, mixes. Overall nothing was really worth the money. The rooms are clean and nice but food, beverages, and amenities are seriously lacking.

Beautiful, well maintained resort

We love Orange Lake. It is a well maintained, immaculately clean resort. There is a wide variety of pools and other amenities to help you enjoy your stay. Staff is very responsive to your requests. The resort is located very close to Disney World which makes it ideal for visits with the kids/grandkids.

What a great overall experience.

My sister and I will continue to come to Orange Lake. We do a sisters trip every year and we LOVE Orange Lake. It is so clean and the grounds are exceptional. We stay right on the resort the whole time we are there. The pools are so clean. We try different ones each day. Wonderful place to relax.

Mostly good

The resort is beautiful with top notch security. Golf courses were not very well maintained and with pricing like a premier course, it was disappointing. Rooms are clean and staff friendly. The annoying thing was being pressured to go to a meeting with a time share rep just to get my parking pass. Annoying…but not enough to avoid staying here again in the future!
