great location good value and great service we enjoyed all the activity they had to offer and the rooms were amazing

Very nice location but be prepared to have bug spray!

Very nice location, was a great time for the family and I, we did have our soon to be one year old who loves to crawl, the carpet floors need shampooing desperately!!! The abundance of bugs makes it hard to do anything in the evening because of how many are by your door at night. Overall though great views, nice setup, very spacious, great supply of dishes except the lack of a pizza pan ha ha. The pools were very nice!

Great Relaxing Time

I truly enjoyed my weekend at this resort. It was the perfect getaway. The villa was very nice, yet not too fancy. There were a few spots that could have been repainted, however I am sure that was to keep the pricing manageable. Which I really appreciate.I really enjoyed the cookware and dishes that were available for use. The proximity to the lake was awesome. I also enjoyed the different pool options. They made keeping socially distant easier. I was also not expecting such good burgers from the grill. Mini golf was a blast. I just cannot say enough good things about this resort. I am already planning to bring my husband next time.

Staycation

Comfortable room, wasn't real quiet until 2am. Loved everything but the loudness after hours. Rease in the brochure that quiet time was from 10pm-9am, it was not. The pool, playground, bbq pit, loved everything, very valuable for my money will be back.in November.

Great location for groups

We rented three villas for our wedding party. Several of our wedding guests also rented villas/cabins. The resort was perfect for all of us to enjoy the weekend together after our wedding.

Beds was very comfortable and loved the jacuzzi

My stay was very peaceful and relaxing I enjoyed everything about my room and everything that was on the property. We swim, road Jet ski, bbq under the gazebo. Me and my family had a awesome time and looking forward to return soon. My only problem I honestly had was staying on the third floor As bad as my knees are I will make sure that won’t happen ever again. Other than that everything else was A1.

very filthy the cost point too high for filth

I would never recommend nor stay there again, customer service was horrible from the point of check in, its like you should feel honored to pay for filthiness and plumbing issues with air conditioning problems.

Would definitely stay again

The hotel grounds were nice and well kept. The room we stayed in was big, had a great view, and was clean. Our only complaint was due to COVID, some of the amenities were closed and others were limited. Once all the COVID stuff has passed, we will be back.

Reservation Debacle

Overall the resort was fine; however, you can tell that some of the buildings are in disrepair and have not been maintained as they should be. The most frustrating part of the trip was when we checked in. The reservations were made in July of 2020 through the IHG reservation line. I made specific requests of the room type and what building I preferred. I was told those requests would be met since I made the reservation so early. Upon arrival, I was told that those requests cannot be guaranteed unless you call the resort directly. This should have been mentioned. The first room we received was not what we asked for and was not worth the same amount of money that we paid for the much larger room we requested, nor was it in the building we requested. When we questioned why we were given that room, we were told it was "the luck of the draw". However, when we drove over to the buildings, there was literally no other vehicles parked in front of the building that we requested. We were checking in on a Thursday and actually arrived early and were likely one of the first guests to arrive for that weekend's time frame. If it is "luck of the draw", then we should have been given priority since we arrived much earlier than everyone else that may have had reservations. Ultimately, we were put in a room of the type we requested; however, not in the building group we requested (even though there wasn't anyone in that building at that time). When we checked into the room, there were numerous doors that did not close/lock properly and the cold water line under the sink had been disconnected. After I reconnected it, we found that there was a leak behind the fridge or under the cabinet which is probably why the line was turned off. Why didn't they just fix it? It was par for the course when looking at the exterior of some of the other buildings; i.e. balconies dirty, railings needing repair, sections of roof missing, etc. We will likely use the resort again; mainly because of convenience and cost compared to the other big resort on the Lake that is much pricier. I have been an IHG member for years and I really hope they put some funds into getting the Piney Shores resort looking good again.
