Poor Communication

Kristi at check-in was great. Didn’t appreciate Ryan at timeshare counter announcing room number across lobby with others around. Was told kid pool was heated and it was not. Broke before we checked in and they wouldn’t allow us to cancel our stay with the points. Housekeeping tried coming in as I’m nursing my baby 1 hour before check our time.

Great amenities and super clean.

Lots to do and the rooms were very clean. I plan to return with the family, stay longer and get a chance to experience all the amenities this place had to offer. The adult only pool looked very relaxing.

Huge disappointment

We were looking for a relaxing family vacation with our sons. Upon arrival, after flying in from New York, we were told the waterpark pool that is promoted on the website was under construction. Was sons were devastated. We planned this trip for months. It was literally the reason why we picked this hotel. There was a regular pool, but I could have found that anywhere. Not much to offer besides a Mexican Restaurant that is hardly ever open. Employees are focused on getting you to buy a time share. We were definitely not interested after this trip.

Had a quiet and pleasant stay

We stayed in 4-306, which is a 2 bedroom/2 bath unit. We didn't mind walking up the short flights of stairs because being on the upper floor guaranteed us less ambient noise. We felt very comfortable in our unit and enjoyed the spaciousness. The room location was ideal for us since we weren't using any of the hotel amenities, such as the restaurant, pools or fitness center, which are on the other end of the property. Also appreciated the covered parking. We would stay here again.

Nice hotel will be back

This hotel was awesome and very cheap, we enjoyed the 21 and over pool often and loved how you had your own space.

A good selection in Scottsdale

The Holiday Inn Vacation Club stay is an excellent choice. It’s close to many great attractions in Scottsdale, AZ. Our room was conveniently located and easy to access. The rooms offered a large comfortable space with a full kitchen.

Nicely decorated, friendly staff, noisy rooms no soundproofing and avoid rooms by the pool

Well decorated rooms, well stocked kitchen and friendly staff. We were looking forward to our stay, and if the rooms were soundproofed it would have been a good stay. However we heard the apartment above talking and walking around all night, and noise from the pool can be heard till 10pm. With quiet neighbours - this would be a good choice

Ask if the facility is operational

This hotel nothing was working and they charge you $30 to go to their sale meeting nonrefundable even when nothing is working the pool was not heated in fact it was ice cold the water slide was not repaired and the game room was closed the entire time we stayed for Christmas holiday. They booked us in a room outside the 21 & over pool when it was clear we had kids. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL.

Great hotel!

Hotel experience was great. My only issue was that the restaurant on site was not open every day (closed Mondays and Tuesdays) so I was only able to enjoy upon my arrival. The rooms were great and provided everything I needed for the duration of my stay.

Great Room Layout, Worn Amemenities

No status recognition/welcome amenities or upgrades. Room was large and clean with a pleasing layout. Walls are super thin and privacy is limited. This was a staycation and we live nearby. We were disappointed that the water slide pool was broken/unheated since this is why we chose to visit. We did not know until check-in that it was out of order. Game area is super worn-out (pool table, for example) and unattractive. Water slide pool not heated due to breakdown. Bar in the restaurant had attentive service but bar/restaurant didn’t look super clean as it looks as though it hasn’t been renovated in 20 years, very worn. This hotel, except the room, was dingy compared to other IHG properties I’m accustomed to. I am a local and I likely won’t return.
