Beautiful views and family fun

This resort offers beautiful views and is located near the Tahoe rim trail. We loved how many hot tubs were available. The staff are very friendly and the room very clean and modern. My 6 year old loved it.

Escape from the city life

Wonderful location for the family with endless outdoor activities. One of those places you would want to return.

Nice place but very poor response when needed

The location and newly renovated condo is really the only thing you could be positive about this stay.

A Great time

10/10! I traveled with my family and we all had a great time. I have a special needs child and they were very accommodating for his needs. The rooms have everything you'll need. Very comfortable and fun stay. Family friendly.

This trip started out what seemed difficult but when I arrived there, the staff had everything and then some ready planned out for me and my family and honestly, they went so far above and beyond my expectations I was absolutely stunned! I love this resort and the staff and we are already talking about coming back as soon as possible because it was such a great experience! Thank you!

Overrated

The description did not match the reality of the place amenities did not work, place is very old and staff is not very nice

Great Location & Comfortable Rooms

The location of the Tahoe Ridge Resort is ideal, both for convenience of arrival (at least from the Nevada side) and for proximity to the Stagecoach Lodge and lift. When the Skier Express is operational, access to the ski lift is super easy, but even when it is not running, there are shuttles every 10 - 15 minutes and it's a short ride. The rooms are well equipped and maintained and most of them have great views. Several Jacuzzis are available for "Apres-Ski" relaxation. Beds are comfy, water pressure is strong and so is the WiFi. Overall great property which is why we just stayed there again for our third year in a row for skiing at Heavenly. Highly recommend it!

Colossal Disappointment!

We had numerous issues with our stay at this hotel. Upon check in, we were told that our IHG Platinum Elite status didn't matter as we booked our trip through a partner site, Chase Rewards Travel. I thought this was weird since we received the status as members of Chase, but I'm new to the program so I just ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ and carried on. To get our room keys, we had to go see someone else whose job it was to try and get us to attend a time share talk or something. She told us that since we booked through a partner site that we were eligible for either resort credits or a trip to another property and asked us which of the bonuses we wanted. Of course there's no such thing as a free lunch, right? Sure enough, what wasn't immediately disclosed was that we'd need to sit through a 90 minute talk about booking a trip at some other property or something, and that these talks were all scheduled during the time Heavenly was open for skiing. We just wanted to get to our room after a long day of traveling, but our room keys were being held hostage by a sales pitch! Bad look. The worst part of the stay was our neighbors who were incredibly noisy and woke us up in the mornings. We brought this to the attention of the management multiple times but nothing was ever done about it. It's hard to ski your best when you don't get a good night's sleep! The tram that is supposed to ferry guests down to the Stagecoach Lodge wasn't operating, so the hotel was running a shuttle service that they said ran every "five to seven minutes". Unfortunately, the shuttle only held 10 or so people and it would regularly start at the top of the property (we were staying in the Plaza which is in the middle of the grounds) and fill up, so the shuttle seemed to always pass us. We ended up walking which wouldn't have been a big deal but the route wasn't clearly marked so it was a source of considerable frustration the first time we did it. Walking back was problematic because you had to cut through a building that you couldn't enter if you were staying in another building due to keycard access limitations, so if someone didn't happen to be there to let you in, you either had to wait or walk in on the other end of the building and up an extra flight of stairs. Not a huge lift but after a day of skiing with all of your gear? A bit frustrating to be sure. There is only one restaurant on the whole grounds. There are multiple hotel-sized buildings on the property and the one restaurant, which has maybe up to 20 tables, is not large enough. Also, it's only open until 8 PM, a fact not shared with us when we checked in later in the day due to a flight delay. We had to drive into town to find an open restaurant. Finally, we were given a late checkout but they didn't extend access on our keycards, so on that last day after squeezing in some runs in the morning, we had to hike up to the main desk (again, multiple buildings with guest rooms so the main desk was up a hill...in ski gear) and request them to straighten out the access. The bed in our room was mostly comfortable. While there was a teensy space for food prep along which contained a small refrigerator and an underpowered microwave, there was no silverware, plates, bowls, or glasses. There were cupboards for all these things, though! The room and property felt quite dated. That didn't bother us much, but if it's important to you, well, now you know.
