Great rooms, great amenities, great views

The Tahoe Ridge provided an excellent family vacation experience. The room was large and well-appointed. There were many on-site amenities, including mini golf, pickleball, and ping pong. Our building even had a rooftop hot tub, which was amazing for watching sunsets! Although the outdoor temps reached up to 87, we were able to keep our room sufficiently comfortable by closing the curtains during the day and opening the windows at night. Staff was also kind and friendly. Wonderful experience overall!

Not good on hot days without air

The room was extremely hot on the south facing side of the building. Room would not cool off at night, maybe the room got down to 80 degrees. We were instructed to open the windoe to cool off the room which was locked closed for our safety. We did request some assistance but it was not helpful in cooling the room. We could not find the ice machine and asked an attendant who blasted past and said there was only one in the building which took walking several floors several floors find.

Formal Complaint – Sleepless Night and Structural

From the moment we entered the room, we were subjected to relentless, unbearable noise coming from the unit above us. Throughout the entire night, we could hear guests walking back and forth — every single step caused the ceiling and floorboards to creak loudly, producing sharp and disturbing “squeaking” sounds that echoed into our room without pause. The noise was so intrusive that it felt as though the ceiling could collapse at any moment — which raises serious structural and safety concerns. None of us — my wife, my young son, or myself — were able to sleep at all. Our son was woken up repeatedly in fear, and by morning, we were left exhausted, frustrated, and emotionally drained. This was not a minor inconvenience; this was a complete failure of your facility to provide even the most basic expectation of a hotel stay: peace and rest. It is unacceptable that a resort of this caliber suffers from such poor construction quality and sound insulation. The structural integrity of the Ridge Pointe building appears questionable, and the level of noise transmission is beyond anything we’ve encountered elsewhere — far beyond normal hotel noise. This is not just a comfort issue; it is a design flaw and a potential hazard. We came to Tahoe Ridge Resort expecting a relaxing, high-quality experience. Instead, we endured a sleepless, stressful night — a trip meant to create joyful memories became a disturbing and costly mistake.

Disappointed

Loyal customer! Facility and views appear to be amazing. However, there is no trailer parking allowed, 35 curbside spots available with only 2 occupied and we only needed 6 for one night after 13 hr drive. Explained this to the staff and was told parking was fine but then forced by security to park in area not owned by IHG with no available spaces due to high occupancy because this was their policy. 6 hrs of scheduled sleep turned into 4 hrs sleep after re-parking. Next morning all of the curb side parking was still empty. Staff was friendly but if this in fact policy then no trailer parking on site should be identified so travelers do not book here. Cancelled return trip scheduled stay and had to rebook elsewhere last minute which is always more expensive. Not one to typically give low reviews but this is the first time I have been disappointed by an IHG property.
