Reasonable pricing for a nice mountain top location and experience. Most relaxing stay for most families

I have stayed at the Ridge Tahoe many times with my family a children over the last 30 years. We have many fond memories of the location and facilities. It's a great location for a family getaway as it's outside of the gambling hustle in South Lake Tahoe. The Ridge facility has many activities for younger kids that are sports oriented, including Tennis, Pickle Ball, Pool, Table Tennis, Bingo, etc. Since IHG purchased the facilities, I was surprised that the room rates remain reasonable given the size of the rooms and facilities.

Amenities a Plus…

Recommend staying in late April…Early May…pretty much had the Resort to ourselves…Very rare experience at a Time Share Resort… Only complaint was not being able to control the Heat … had to open windows and even then a little too Warm…it was 20-50 degrees outside…

Great space for family stay

The family suite, 2 bedroom / 2 bathroom, full kitchen with family room and fireplace, was just perfect for 4 adults and 2 kids. Kids had room to play and adults had room for privacy when needed. We were on the same floor as the hot tub so the kids were happy and visited it every day. The sauna was relaxing as well. We ate at the IHG restaurant one night and the burgers were really good and the cobb salad was delicious (better than the one I had downtown).

View and heat

The view was amazing and the rooms are so spacious. One of the rooms had the heater on when we entered. We opened all windows in villa for 4+ hours before going to bed and that room was still to warm to sleep in.

Great location and amenities

This was our first family ski trip in Tahoe and the location was amazing. We booked our lessons at Heavenly which was less than 30 min drive away. Lots of places to take the kids sledding too. (Morning lesson can experience more traffic.) Our room had an amazing view of the mountains from every window. Love the kitchen for convenient home cooked meals and to pack lunches. We decided to make Tahoe Ridge Resort an annual family trip. The amenities was a big plus with pool, steam room, tennis/pickleball court, etc.

Overall good. Convenient location for Epic ski resort, buildings are old but clean. Staff are busy but friendly.
