Quick day trip

We recently did a quick day trip to the Holiday Inn Vacation Club in Williamsburg and overall had a good time. We loved that there were three pools to choose from — one indoor and two outdoor — which gave us plenty of options to relax and swim. The check-in staff were very nice and informative, and although they provided information about the timeshare presentation, there was no pressure to attend, which we appreciated. One downside was that resort activities like mini golf and bowling weren’t included for guests — we were a bit disappointed to find out there was an extra cost for these. Room cleanliness could definitely be improved. We found dirty plates, bowls, and cups left behind, and the pull-out sofa had quite a bit of dirt and hair. The towels also didn’t feel very clean. Overall, despite some housekeeping issues, we enjoyed our stay and the pools were definitely the highlight!

Villa Value Proposition

This is a great option for families with small children due to the various amenities offered at this location. The two bedroom villas are spacious with two bathrooms to help getting ready in the morning plus having a full kitchen with all the requirements made the trip that much easier. The property is adjacent to main shopping area & restaurants as well as various parks and activities in the Williamsburg area. The grounds are beautifully maintained, although the units could use a minor refresh on the interior. Staff are friendly and helpful. Onsite amenities include three pools and other activities to keep the family engaged on non-park days or during inclement weather and no pressure to attend a timeshare presentation which was appreciated as we were definitely not interested. This is a great location to use points or free night certificates! The only negatives for this review would be housekeeping should be less aggressive on checkout days and more familiar with actual checkout times, guests should not have to take out the trash & recyclables, and it would be great if the pools could open earlier than 9am in the summer months.

Highly recommend for a family stay in Williamsburg

This is truly one of the nicest hotels my family has ever stayed in! The rooms were large, clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The pool, putt-putt course, and bowling alley were a real hit with the kids. The grounds were full of flowers and beautifully kept! Terrific full kitchen enabled us to eat breakfast in, and bring dinner back after a day of sightseeing. Couldn't have been better!

A wonderfully blessed and peaceful stay

The best stay ever! The property is within short traveling time for the amusement park, water country, and many restaurants. There are many historical sites.

I WOULD NOT STAY HERE AGAIN. I love the Orange Lake Resort in Florida.

My quick getaway

I was so pleased with this resort! Even before I arrived, I received a courtesy call to confirm my arrival time. I really appreciated the call because it allowed me to check in earlier than the standard check-in time. The manager was super friendly and accommodating—unfortunately, I left his card on the counter at checkout and wasn’t able to include his name in this review. Still, I wanted to acknowledge the great service I received! Would recommend staying located near Richmond Rd, grocery store gas station and plenty of food options.

Very pleasant

We stay here every year for vacation and never been disappointed whether you stay at the room or go out for other activities this place is great. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Indoor and outdoor pools make it even better.

Great rooms but few resort amenities

We stayed in a 2 bedroom "villa" which was a great apartment with 2 bathrooms, kitchen, dining, and living room. The room was excellent with 2 jetted tubs and very comfortable. My issue is that resort did not offer high levels of amenities. The "restaurant" had simple bar food and wasn't open early or late. There were no spaces to lounge and relax with food and beverage service. The main resort area was a mini mart, all purpose counter with food service, bottled beverages, and mini golf rentals, and a bowling alley all in the same room. That was my main disappointment.
