Nice Area, Resort is adequate.

It’s a nice area, beautiful views of Carson Valley. Minden is about 10 minutes away, 20-30 minutes away from Carson City. The resort is nice, the hot springs pool was closed when we were there so that was disappointing. We didn’t use the hot springs. The rooms are adequate and clean enough but somewhat old and worn out.

Excellent hotsprings and room balcony view

Overall excellent stay, however, the room next to our was being used to wash dishes and do laundry and the noise level was disturbing at night. We enjoyed the hot tubs each and every day and one day we participated in water aerobics which was a lot of fun. We enjoyed a delightful dinner; prime rib, stuffed mushrooms, chocolate cake were great as well as a gin cocktail with bubby was quite nice. Our only regret was that the restaurant was closed on Monday and Tuesday as well as the bar. This was our 5th time visiting Wally's and we will return. Morning coffee on the balcony was pleasant while you listened to and watched the geese.

The main pool was closed for maintenance, and the restaurant was also closed, with no other food options within walking distance. None of this was disclosed when we booked or communicated to us before check in. These were not minor inconveniences. The pool and on site restaurant were two of the main reasons we chose this property in the first place. Had we known they would both be unavailable, we would have booked somewhere else. What made the experience especially frustrating was that we were still charged the full rate despite receiving only a portion of what the property normally offers. We felt misled and disappointed, and the lack of advance notice was unacceptable.

The stay was great. Staff was friendly and direct.

The staff was great and friendly. The hot springs was nice and cozy. Will definitely check into this place again. The drive from Tahoe to this little city through the mountain pass was exciting and watching the town come into view was amazing.

Surprisingly Amazing Hospitality

This was an excellent stay. I had a standard room, but I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived to find that I had been upgraded to a one bedroom villa. The villa was immaculately clean and spacious, providing a comfortable and luxurious experience. The front desk clerk Nikolai was very friendly and helpful!

Walley’s Hot Springs

The room was really nice. The bed and pillows were good too. My complaint is we had no hot water the entire stay. I called house keeping and the front desk numerous times through the day and evening yet “no one answer”. I talked to a few maids and they said can’t help call front desk.

Perfect stay for work visit.

The room was perfect to relax in after working all day. Very quiet and relaxing.

Something Special

Great getaway, whether you enjoy history, want to soak in the hot springs, or need some quiet time with your sweetheart. Not our first time here, and I only return to places I really like.
