Great rooms. Very comfortable.
The rooms are excellent. Very fresh and comfortable. Good beds. Good charging stations. Good wifi. No complaints at all. Most of the staff, however, could have been more helpful.
Yes, I recommend this property.

Convenient
Stayed and played. Was in town working and the convenience of the property was outstanding. Undeclared pool construction is my only complaint.
Yes, I recommend this property.

Not as expected and hoped for.
The staff were lovely at check in. The rooms were not the cleanest the restaurant was not able to accommodate a party of ten seating wise. No help in transporting bags up and down stairs. No video games as advertised. Pool was not heated. Arcade room had minimal games.
No, I do not recommend this property.

Miscommunications are prevalent
Good and not so good... The suite with an upgrade to king deluxe was nice, spacious. The not so good... Charged for packages received at the hotel despite the IHG website not stating that such a charge would be put on our bill. Even after receiving the first package, no comment was made about a charge. We signed nothing when we checked-in that confirmed our understanding of this charge. The general manager was supposed to reply to us about it but never did. The supervisor lowered the charge to only one package rather than several but the charge is a negative billing charge and is basically illegal. Not all the pools were heated. One of the two gyms was out of order. Things were not functioning in the suite but fortunately were quickly remedied. We got mixed messages: there is an amenities fee charged to people staying on a points redemption but somewhere else it states that there isn't. There really isn't. We were told over they phone that a breakfast buffet would be $4.99 per day per person but that wasn't true when we checked in. Over the phone, for a charge, we were offered the opportunity to have a Signature Suite which is a renovated suite but then when I arrived as I did not take up the cash offer upgrade, I was told no signature suites were available. I would go back as the location is close to the strip and the suite is spacious.
Yes, I recommend this property.
Practical and comfortable
A hotel close to convention centers but with enough tranquility and relaxation from the hustle and bustle of Las Vegas. With all the amenities of a Holiday Inn

Dump the timeshare pitch and this place is perfect for a weekend at Sphere.
In town for Dead and Co at Sphere. This may be the closest hotel to Sphere by foot. And I mean even closer than the Venetian Sphere is connected to. Wonderful views of Sphere from the back buildings. Full kitchen was excellent - we drove and brought everything we needed food and beverage wise - charged our car in the free parking lot on the free chargers, great bonus! - and basically felt like we were living at home with all our stuff and the things we liked to eat. Loved hanging out on the patio and chatting with others that were in town for the show too. The only bummers about this place are the timeshare pitches and the AC compressors directly in front of the patio. On the timeshare stuff Just stop it already! Take the no and let us enjoy ourselves. Don't push, don't freaking call again the next morning. Just mark it down and let us be. And I don't know who thought putting the AC compressors directly in front of the 1st floor patios was a good idea. There is a huge area to the side of them where they wouldn't bother anyone but you stuck em right there instead. weird choice as it's so loud it's really tough to enjoy sitting on the patio if you are on the first floor. Loved all of the staff we met (except the timeshare folks of course, they were awful) but everyone else was amazing. This is a dated hotel to be sure, (and the floors are so filthy you need to wash your feet after you walk around there without shoes) and it's not fancy, but it's exactly what you want it to be for basically getting an apartment instead of a simple room and no casino. You can really come close to pretending you are not in vegas if you stay here .

An experience
We will just sum up our stay so hopefully there can be some education given to the front desk service. We kept having issues with our keys getting into the room then wasn’t working at all walked form the back of the property 3x to get new keys and each time they would question us on stay and getting a timeshare when we had already declined then gave attitude fixing the key. Finally the maintenance came out to check it and it was lock on the door that needed a new battery. It took them about an hour to get us into our suite. We also got a room that the garbage disposal had tripped the breaker, temp was locked at 85, tub drain didn’t seal, faucet constantly leaking, & ice bath pools. The only good staff were security and Maintainance.

Great staff. Good place for families.
Rene at the front desk was great. Our room was perfect. The bed was ok, but not great. We enjoyed the hot tub, although the temperature seemed to vary a lot. Within walking distance from the strip and it has a nice little onsite restaurant. Overall a great time. We will stay here again.

Rushed out of the room at 8:50am
Stayed here for four nights for a work conference in Las Vegas. I should have stayed at one of the larger luxury hotels, but I usually try to stay in IHG hotels when I can. Between IHG and other chains, I stay around 200 nights per year in hotels. This has been one of the worst, although I’ll admit my memory of the stay is tainted by how it ended. 1. I received multiple phone calls to my room while I was trying to work on my computer. These phone calls were to ask me to come to a presentation trying to talk me into buying a timeshare. Someone also knocked on the door while I was trying to take a nap; they were gone by the time I answered, but I assume it was the same thing. 2. It’s odd to walk around Vegas surrounded by luxury restaurants, and then come to my own hotel where the bar/restaurant is so sub-par. The food was decent, but the service suffered. The bartender was very nice and professional, but they were understaffed so service was painfully slow. Also, 9 bucks for a draft Coors Light? You can justify that when you’re at a luxury resort, maybe, but not the Holiday Inn. 3. I’ve been either Platinum Elite, or, more often, Diamond Elite (or previously Spire Elite) for several years. I’m also an Ambassador. I *always* get a late checkout. Usually that’s at 2pm or sometimes 4pm. I asked the front desk here if I could be out by noon, and was told “no.” I started to say that I was caught off guard because I stay in a lot of hotels, and she cut me off and said “well this isn’t a hotel, it’s a timeshare, and you need to be out by 10am.” If I need to be out by 10, why is housekeeping knocking on my door at literally 8:50am asking me when I’ll be out? I’m half dressed and half awake staring at housekeeping as she tells me “you should hurry up and pack, we have other people who want to check in.” Like I said, I stay in a lot of hotels. I have never been rushed out of a room like this, and never been so thoroughly unimpressed. Also, there was no ironing board or iron in my room. My family has a tradition of staying in the InterContinental in Chicago several times per year and the InterContinental Barclay in NYC once per year, in addition to my frequent business trips using other IHG hotels. I hate that this stay might be enough to fully move to another chain. I will certainly never stay in this specific hotel again, if any IHG hotels.

Work travel
Great location, good value for the money. Property is currently being renovated but the work didn’t effect my stay.
The location is easy, I was attending a conference at the Venetian and Caesars expo both were a simple walk. Also attended and event at the sphere and this was right next door. Easy walk to the strip if you want to explore.
