Check-In Sales Pitch

Found the second step of checking in to be a bit misleading and cumbersome. We were unaware initially that we were receiving a sort of sales pitch to see a presentation in order to receive a perk. Had we been told at the beginning of the conversation that if we saw a presentation we could receive a perk it would have shortened the length of time it took to check-in as we could have simply said we weren't interested. Was disappointed in this interaction even after we said we weren't interested. Left a bad taste on the whole experience. I guess we were naive in booking this location not expect something like this.

Yes, I recommend this property.

Don’t Stay Here

The staff and management will make up lies if there is a billing dispute. I have been a federal employee and contractor for 30 years traveling on the governments behalf. I have never heard that the federal rates depend on whether the 6th digit on my government issued credit card is a a 1,2,3 or 4. I was hit with a resort fee and my coworker who was on the same trip did not (he actually has the exact same 6th digit as me). When I told them the number is the same, they then changed the story to I booked my travel different from him…the government doesn’t allow us to do this. Same booking system and the same contractor books it. We have no option. So in the end, if my voucher (expense report) gets denied I’ll have to pay these resort fees out of my pocket. The hotel was absolutely not helpful and stood by their lies that I know better.

No, I do not recommend this property.

Meh.

Overall disappointed in this property. When we arrived, we had to wait about 10 minutes in line as front desk staff seemed short. The person who checked us in was GREAT...friendly and helpful. What took us aback was the trip to vacation station to "activate" our keys: a high pressure sales job that we had to get forceful to stop. This was a compete turnoff. Once we finally told the person we were not interested for the 7th time, we went to the room. The space was plentiful but the rooms were sparse and dated. It did serve our purpose. This is THE property to stay in if you are going to the Sphere as it is right next door but understand what you are getting in advance: you do save money but the experience is "meh".

Cockroach in my room

We did not like this hotel. When we arrived the staff took forever to check us in. Even though we had waited a long time when our turn came they kept taking people from behind us in line to check in first. Then we had to go to a second desk to wait to get keys so they could try and pitch us a time share meeting all before we even got keys to the room. When we got to the room there was trash on the floor and didn’t look like it had been cleaned. On top of that while we were getting ready a cockroach came out from under the stove. We then moved rooms to a new building. The new room we moved too seemed just as dirty. Food on the floor and by the fridge, no one there had even pretended to sweep. The hallway between the rooms had used medical gloves and trash lying on the ground. The hotel boasted a pool with waterfall feature which was broken while we were there. The “game room” for guest use all cost money. The only good thing about this hotel was it was close to the strip. We won’t go back and I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

No, I do not recommend this property.

Staff needs more training

I really enjoyed the location as it was close to the Sphere. The room was good (pest control is needed). The only issue was the staff we encountered. The check in process was super slow. I kept seeing staff members going in and out of the front desk area but no acknowledgement at all. The desk agent that checked me in did her job, but overall i felt like i was being an inconvenience. After this interaction we avoided the desk area. The restaurant was LAME to say the least. Drinks were overpriced and not well prepared. Positive 👍 There was a younger male desk agent (i did not get his name) that was assisting a different guest while i was checking in. He was very knowledgeable regarding his hotel and the area. He was smiling and joking with the guest he was assisting... i kind of whish i had a similar interaction. Anyway, Kudos to him!

none.

Eagles concert

This is a great location being right next to the concert venue. The hotel doesn't have any gaming which we appreciate it. There was some confusion and check-in that took some time to address.

Yes, I recommend this property.

Great for Families

We had a fantastic stay at the Holiday Inn Desert Resort in Las Vegas—it was truly an excellent value and perfect for our family of four (two adults and two kids- ages 6 &13). We stayed in a two-bedroom villa, and it exceeded our expectations. Both bedrooms had king-size beds, which were incredibly comfortable, and having two bathrooms made everything so much easier for our family. One of the biggest highlights was the full kitchen and in-unit washer and dryer. It made our stay feel so convenient and home-like. The kitchen had all the basics we needed, including plates, cups, silverware, pots, and pans. The hotel also provided thoughtful extras like full-size Dove shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, and hand soap, as well as Tide laundry detergent, dishwasher tabs, and dish soap. There were plenty of towels (shower/bath & pool towels) , too. We also loved the five pools on the property—there was always a great spot to relax or let the kids play. The activity center offered fun options throughout the day (until 5 pm), with a mix of free and paid activities that kept the kids entertained. The staff were absolutely amazing—super friendly, welcoming, and willing to help in any way possible. One of our kids forgot their toothbrush, and the front desk quickly provided one and even offered toothpaste as well, which we really appreciated. We also loved the shuttle service and the convenience of baggage storage after checkout. It was a huge bonus that we could continue using the pool facilities for the rest of the day even after checking out. Another tip for families: we used Walmart delivery for groceries, which helped us save a lot of money by eating meals in the villa instead of dining out all the time. The location was great—right next to the Sphere—and we loved that this is not a casino hotel. It made for a much calmer, more family-friendly atmosphere without the smoke, crowds, or party scene. The other guests were respectful and friendly, which added to the overall experience. Overall, this stay was a 10/10 for us. We would absolutely come back again—it was perfect for our family. The only small issue we noticed was that the floor in our villa didn’t seem to be fully clean—our feet and socks would get dirty walking around, even though the floor itself didn’t look dirty. That said, everything else in the villa was very clean, including the bathrooms, showers, and bedding, as well as the pool areas and the property overall. It was a minor issue that didn’t take away from our experience, and we didn’t feel the need to call or complain.

Yes, I recommend this property.

Great location but many compromises

Couldn't ask for a better location for the Sphere. Suites were a great size and room features were excellent (most, but not all of which worked). Absolute worst part of the stay was the heavy and repeated timeshare sale efforts. Not only did these discourage us from pursuing the timeshare presentation, but they also made it so that we are less likely to stay at this property again in the future exclusively to avoid getting stuck immediately upon arrival in a 15-minute timeshare pitch when everyone is cranky and has to use the bathroom.

Yes, I recommend this property.

Great Resort

I loves the location of this resort and the staff were super helpful and friendly. There were a ton of amenities and the grounds were very well kept. The room was clean and spacious, and was a pleasure to stay in. The shower operated a little weird and I had to step into hot/cold water but it worked very well and was clean.
