Great getaway

This was a great getaway that was close to home. There were many indoor and outdoor activities included in the price. The outdoor pool has bathrooms and changing rooms. The indoor rec room includes tv, games, arcade, small movie theater, and several additional activies like paint ceramics for a small additional price, through out the day. Outdoor activities include lawn chess and checkers, tennis, basketball, and table tennis. Plenty of outdoor seating including a pavilion with picnic tables. Also there is mini and a 9 hole golf courses for a short walk. For an additional price the indoor water park, kayaks and boats (small lake) are available to all who stay. The room experience was great to as a full kitchen is available even in the standard rooms, so bring you food as all but 1 restaurant are 20-30 minutes away. I would recommend for families, couple and for the individual getaways. I will be back.

Quiet and relaxing place to stay

Room was clean, bed was comfortable, friendly staff, large open areas, out of the way, free washers and dryers. Would definitely stay here again!

Everything you need

If I didn't have to leave the property, I wouldn't. But I got to use the indoor pool several times and it was well taken care of. Had plenty of room in the pool. They also had an outdoor pool, but I didn't use that, (although it look as clean as the indoor one). The bed was comfortable and the pillows were great. The room was clean and offered plenty of storage for our stay. I also liked the game room. A couple of games, but enough to have fun. Several rentals like the paddle boats, mini golf and a regular gulf course is available. Major enjoyable, relaxing facility. A little out of the way from everything, but if you want away from it all, this is the place to go.

There were bugs crawling on me in bed.

The resort is quiet and peaceful. However the rooms are outdated and needs to be exterminated. The quality of service is poor.

Horrible Customer Service -Tyler Front Desk

1st. I booked my room and asked about the water park. They told me age and height requirements and didn’t tell me the park was closed 2. When I let them know I was running late and asked if my partner could check in. They said yes until they saw that she had 3 black children with her and immediately accused her of fraud. 3. When I called back they continued to accuse us of fraud and wouldn’t give the corporate number. When I asked for the supervisor number he gave me the main desk number and when I asked for his name he said Tyler and I asked for the last name and he refused to tell me

Overall room experience

The staff is very friendly and helpful, the units are clean but need updating. Wi-Fi is not that good and no longer have restaurant on site

I can not speak highly enough about how we love our stay. The one fault is no restaurant. No breakfast, no lunch, no dinner. To truly be enjoyable they need to get something available to supply food on such large grounds.

Great family indoor fun!

We didn’t know this place existed, but have it a chance. Fox River Resort is a hidden gem! We will certainly be back. Water park is perfect for small children and adults alike. Even the “free” pool was special. Try it, you’ll love this place too!

Worse staycation ever!

This was not enjoyable at all. When we first arrived the lady at the front desk was not very welcoming at all. I noticed how she was more warm and inviting to the white people after me. The room had a very loud smell of staleness it did not smell clean. I ended up cleaning everything very well. The refrigerator was dirty and so was the counter and bathroom. I wanted to go home but we drove from Indiana and the kids were excited to go swimming. Also it should be made clear on the website in hold print that the water park is mot included in the stay.
