Room stuck of cigarettes

Our room smelled like stale cigarette smoke. They did offer to change the room but we had already unpacked and then notified the front desk. They sent a woman from facilities or housekeeping with a bottle of probably Fabreeze and thought that would be enough. It got worse and I am still waiting for someone to call me back. Meantime, I've had to wash and spray down everything that we took in that room. We were also told we would be close to family at the resort and it was a short walk. Not even close and the walk is 10-15 minutes between "villages". Just not what we thought it would be. Buyer beware and check the room before you unpack.

Not What It Used To Be!

I had trouble getting to the actual facility when I tried to book an additional room, then after being told we could be in the same village were told that was not possible. The rooms are getting tired, the furniture is worn. There was debris for days that was not picked up. Noise at night was disturbing. This was our second visit in 6 years - and our last.

Very under the radar place, but it’s fantastic and a great value

Great for families

Overall good experience… wish there were a few more teen activities included in resort fees but loved the pool, water slide, chance to jet skiing, top golf, ping pong, fitness center, some good food options

Disappointing

Disappointing. Booked a 1 bedroom villa at the beginning of April for a stay in late June. Communication was poor. Was directed to registration by the "front desk" which was actually a call center- so registration address led us to facilities management. Check in line resembled the DMV. Have never experienced a check in like that. When finally checked in was told that the villa we had reserved wasn't available. Had to speak to a manager and have an owner assist. The villa we received had issues like light bulb burnt out and microwave not working. was nice to be on the lake. but not happy overall.

One Night Stay of Regret!

There were bugs and roaches in the pull out couch in my room. One of the perks that we looked forward to was bringing our family of 5 to a nice resort to relax and spend time with family. I had to check out early but left a message for a manager to give me a call. After several people called and promised me a call back, I finally got a call from someone who offered a free nights stay for our inconvenience. I was supposed to receive an email from the “manager” stating his name and the conversation we discussed. I have yet to get that email and I have been calling with no answer. This is sooo disappointing bc we really enjoyed the resort and wanted to come back.

Bait and switch

They got upset when I didn't accept the tour offer. We live in the area and just try to find nice hotels for my wife's birthday. This place was over priced and pay extra for most amenities and the room were very standard reminded me of hotels in the 80's very old vibe.

Poor customer service

Almost a week after my stay and I have yet to hear back from a manager/guest services about my stay. Have called multiple times and even visited guest relations in the main lobby and not even then was my issue resolved.

Orange Lake Resort

Nice family atmosphere. Wish the restaurants were open a little later, at least the pizza parlor for those arriving late. Tubes at lazy river should be free or just a deposit. Upon entering the reception area for the time share presentation both customer service agents showed no enthusiasm. One with their head down and the other sitting on the floor behind the desks on her phone. Neither greeted me and seemed bothered that I even approached the desk. Resort is easily located to nearby groceries and other stores. Very good location if visiting disney world.

BEWARE : Make sure you are not in the CLUBHOUSE!

Prior to booking they neglect to mention they are renovating. My room smelled badly of mildew. I asked to change my room. The “new" room : the light didn't work, stained rug, black mold on baseboard, old beat up cabinets. View from the window looked like a war zone. Construction noise from 7 am-5 pm. Front desk response : sorry we are fully booked. I called IHG who said they couldn’t help me & I should talk to front desk. I asked to cancel. NON REFUNDABLE. My room was not what was represented online. Never again ! I wanted negative stars but it forces you to choose at least one.
