Waste of time, disgusted
Be careful booking online
Be careful when booking online. When you get to the resort, they charge you much more than you initially booked online, which includes the resort fees and taxes. When I sent them a email, they just ignored it. The first room was moldy and disgusting. Had to get a new room. You’ll get bugs and snakes in your room too.

Great Value for what you pay, but cut corners :(
I left some items at the Hotel. Normally most places that this has happened, (only 2 other times in 30 years) the items were returned quickly and without costs. This time I had to register at "Chargerback" and the only option was to pay $33 for something that could be shipped for maybe $8?. The medication and vitamins I left might be worth about $30, so not worth it for me, just a pain in the neck. The room itself is very nice. Recently updated, I like the new L shaped sleeper sofa, but the new dining room table is so small compared to the old one that it just feels out of place. The new updated and larger TV's are very nice. I brought some DVD's and CD's to play while there, but the DVD player is gone. I was however able to connect both my Samsung DEX and Stream through my iPad so no big deal. The wifi said the connection would be good for 24hours, but I had to sign in EVERY time, even when going from one area of the resort to another. The pool areas are fairly nice. Not Disney Nice, but nicer than most. We didn't go this time, because of all the rain but the last time we went Jonathan kept getting stuck at the bottom of the slide, so a little disappointed. Not sure if it's because he's so big (Jonathan just turned 21, but is non-verbal autistic - a Child in a man's body) About a week before arriving, we had to change from a Saturday check in to a Sunday check in, but still left on Weds. We've gone at least a half dozen times if not more before and always stayed in the same room, when we arrived I asked if we could stay in the same room and immediately, without even looking I was told "NO". I asked if he knew the room I stayed in the last time and he said no, so I gave him the number and of course he said no... again.
Yes, I recommend this property.

Spacious rooms. Terrible front desk staff.
The rooms are nice enough for an old property, villas and condos providing space for larger groups. I fully understand why this is a fun, value location for families with children. Don’t expect any degree of customer service. The front desk staff is rude and slow. It’s clear the priority is on attempting to sell time-shares rather than proper hotel service.
No, I do not recommend this property.

Terrible
Stay elsewhere the pools were filthy, especially let the lazy River at river island, roaches in the room. Lining has stains on it , blood on the floor and the bed it was honestly the most disgusting hotel I’ve ever stayed at

Everything amazing
Nice comfortable beds, dinner space and laundry
Everything about this resort was amazing, my family and I loved everything and we are definitely going back. They literally have everything you need there if not there it’s close by. 👍🏾

Fun times
We had a ball. Uber from the airport and check in was not that bad. A total 25 min wait with just 1 person at the check in desk and 3 families ahead of me. We never left the resort. Had groceries and alcohol delivered thanks to Walmart+ and Uber eats. Pool, Arcade, Topgolf, Bingo, Trivia, Karaoke, and Movie night. Delivery from Pollo Tropical and the Pizza place. Great time with family and perfect way to relax into the fall. Orange lake owes me nothing.
Yes, I recommend this property.

Nice rooms but super pricy
Could get more for your buck. I was Elite status at Marriott where they bend over backwards to help. Here not so much.
No, I do not recommend this property.

?
Overall, this is the first Holiday Inn that I’ve spent time in that I felt totally unappreciated and that I was just a number they did in fact, reimburse me my resort fees, but that does nothing to make up for my wife’s loss of sleep, and I had my three grandchildren and my granddaughter‘s fifth birthday that she actually was afraid of bugs also
No, I do not recommend this property.

A big disappointment in 2025!
I am a Platinum Member. Last year we had a wonderful stay, but not in 2025. We were put in a two bedroom that the showers were not handicap friendly and were no doubt the oldest rooms there! I used 80,000 points for our reunion. We had to sponge bath my brother both nights. The logistics of the kitchen were awful too. An opened drawer hit the oven & the refrigerator door, if you were a heavyset person, you would not be able to open. It would have been more of a hassle to move because your check-in time is 4:00p & checkout time is 10:00a. Registration made such a big deal that I was a Platinum Member, but gave us the worst place on the property! What a waste of 80,000 points!
